Council littering snoopers fine pensioner 80 for pouring coffee she didn't like down the drain

Three officers of the Council was fined £ 80 a retired Trash because he pours a cup of coffee which he likes to waste.

Sue Peckitt, 65, has bought a drink in a coffee shop in London, but decided "it was not very pleasant".

Before putting it in the bucket of the road, he poured the coffee rest down draining to prevent deposits that "being a wet mess".

But with Ealing Council snoopers surprise, the three approaches and subject to a fine of £ 80 for "throwing".

65 year old told GetWestLondon: "I've bought a cup of coffee, it is not very nice and I think you want to get rid of this."

"So it is pouring down the drain and then I started running into the trash to put the cups on the tray.

"The police stopped me and said I was breaking the law, and then fill out all the forms and fined £ 80 for me."

"I'm amazed by the whole process."


"I think there is a problem with garbage but that foreigners, who have put the coffee down [the channel] because it is safe and friendly."

"The reason why not remove the glass and the liquid in the tank is that it wants to change the contents of waste into wet messy."


The retired civil servant, who has lived in Ealing for the past 33 years, asked for the fine-first published him in November-does not take advantage.

But after arriving in London approaching Ealing Council authority to comment, u-turned and said Friday that the fines will be returned to him.

A spokesman for the Council said: "the Board has been investigating this case specifically and will degrade both issued initially.

"Our priority is to ensure that the city is clean and free from rubbish and I apologize for any inconvenience caused by this matter."

Admission Board fines last year read: "stop drop and away from coffee diwn (sic) drainage."

Miss Peckitt said he was "delighted" the Council says it will give a refund, but at the time of publication are added that the Council did not reach him to apologize or improve refund.
