Jaguar cubs born at Elmwood Park Zoo

Jaguar look of Elmwood Park Zoo just doubled in size.

INKA, a female jaguar from the Zoo in Norristown, gave birth on January 24, two puppies
reported Tuesday.

The puppy was old and vocal, the Zoo said. Officials described as a mother that cares Inka
and it took almost a week for the staff of the Chicago Cubs to check them out, he said.

The staff will reveal his son genre on page Botanical Garden and Zoo Facebook Friday.

His father was Dymas, male jaguar from the Zoo.

Inka and the Chicago Cubs will not be in a public exhibition space for several months. When
zoo staff to determine that they are ready, the trio moved to new "trail of Jaguar"
indicates the installation is scheduled to open this spring.

Dimas Inka first directly introduced to one another in October (previously only see each
other through the fence) and most separated two days later when they show signs of
aggression, the Zoo said. INKA pregnancy was something of a shock because of the
possibility of conception was considered low.

The Zoo said that the birth had been recommended and supplied by the Association of
zoos and Aquarium program Jaguar living species, which are considered "near
threatened" species.

His son was the first Jaguar was born in a Centre accredited by the Association in 2017.

Jaguars three cubs born through the program last year, including two whose parents were
brother and sister Dimas Inca. Cubs born at the Zoo in San Antonio.
