Included in the recall are the product of Cope, Copenhagen, Skoal and Husky.
The company issued the recall, Altria Group, said not all product or affected, and that mostly with canned is fine.
No injuries have been reported, said the company.
So far, complaints received in Texas, Indiana, North Carolina, Tennessee, Wisconsin and Ohio.
Some products are only sold overseas for the military.
