IVF treatment.
Laura and Saleem Khan, of Coventry, has been trying to get pregnant for seven years, but
faced complications because Laura was suffering from polycystic ovarian syndrome (POC),
a condition that can affect fertility and pregnancy.
A course of IVF treatment given to NHS funded by 2014, but to no avail, and they have said
that they are not eligible for another round.
Now a friend has launched a campaign in an effort to promote JustGiving of £ 7,000 £ 1,500
the pair would need fertility treatments privately.
NN. Khan, 27 years, said Coventry Telegraph: ' we have been trying to have a baby for
almost seven years, and I would give anything to have my own children.
' People have the luxury of them while, for me, having a baby is a meeting of my life. '
NN. Khan also wants to educate other women with the condition and a couple who tried to
secure NHS funding for IVF treatments.
Online campaign started by a friend of Ms. Khan, Charmaine Shannon, who said that he
wanted to ' give a little back '.
Writing on the JustGiving page, Charmaine said: ' [Laura] is the birth of my spouse and my
second child testimony, is that the world, and I want to just give back a little something
and help raise money for Your IVF treatment '. He added that any aid would be ' highly
regarded '.
NN. Khan, an aid worker from the ultrasound, diagnosed with POC shortly after the couple
began trying for a baby in 2010.
He wrote about his experiences in a poem that move together in social media titled,
infertility: our way of life increasingly difficult.
Read: ' my husband and I are a fantastic team
«We conquer this fight together and achieve our dreams
' We have IVF and are not
' But our unfinished dreams, still valid
' This is not a trip we had planned
' Joint struggle in the face of this hand '.
